Matej Tóth

Matej Tóth (born 10 February 1983) is a Slovak race walker. He is a three-time Olympian, having competed in 2004, 2008 and 2012, and has represented his country at the World Championships in Athletics on five occasions. He won the gold medal at the 2010 IAAF World Race Walking Cup, and at the 2015 World Championships in Athletics, taking Slovakia's first ever gold at the championships.
At the Dudinska Patdesiatka race in March 2011 he set a Slovakian record of 3:39:46 hours for the 50 km walk to take first place.〔Juck, Alfons (2011-03-27). (Toth sets 50km road world lead 3:39:46 ). He was the 2006 Slovak Athlete of the Year. He is a journalist by education.
